KALEIDOSCOPE, A Collection of Cards for the Hopeful, is a 55-postcard book produced by #CommonRoomPH in partnership with local artists for #FundtheFuturePH, a campaign to raise funds for our community of makers and artists. <3
It is a book of tearable postcards and short stories about life in quarantine, beautifully illustrated by 55 Filipino artists. All were given the freedom to create a piece that reflects their own voice and style. The only unifying theme was life in lockdown but from the unique lenses of our artists, the result is this book, a kaleidoscope of colorful worlds and surprising possibilities.
Art has always been a way for artists to express themselves, to heal, or to cope with the changes around them. Our hope is that this book gives you a sense of healing, too, at a time when there are no words to fully capture what life has been like when the world suddenly stopped.
